Classical wooden fire surround to fit 900mm x 900mm cast iron hearth.
Made from seasoned redwood and pine.
Original off=the-peg fireplace was far too small for the room which measured 16 x 23 ft with 11ft high ceiling. The last two images show the existing fireplace prior to the instalation of the new surround.
The cast iron hearth is 900mm square.

Commissioned for Victorian apartment circa 1850. Many of the original details were missing, including the fireplace, which had been replaced with a cheap, mass produces reproduction which was too small for the room.
